Remove SchillerServerDS service after a failed installation
If the Schiller Server fails to install properly, it is possible that only the SchillerServerDS service is installed, not the rest of the software. When this happens, the Schiller Server uninstaller is not installed and the remove program option from the Control Panel is not either, since the software is not fully installed. When trying to reinstall Schiller Server, the following message appears and it is impossible to reinstall Schiller Server.
Deleting the C:/Schiller folder does not remove the SchillerServerDS service, and the error persists. It is possible to check which services are running through the Windows Services app.
It is necessary to remove the SchillerServerDS service using the Command Prompt, using the following steps:
1. Open the Command Prompt with administrative privileges
2. Type the command sc delete ServiceName (sc delete SchillerServerDS)
3. Press Enter
Check in Services that SchillerServerDS does not show anymore, and try reinstalling Schiller Server.
