Diagnostic Station DS20 - Health o Meter
Connecting the DS20 to the Health o meter scale
- Unzip contents of the zip file created by Zoe to a blank USB stick – should have:
- \DockLight (folder - not really needed but can be helpful for troubleshooting)
- \SiliconLabs CP2120x v 6.3 (folder)
- ZoeApp.exe
- On the DS20, Select Setup / Vital Signs
- Set WEIGHT Enabled to Yes, and set Scale Type to Healthometer, then select OK
- Select Setup / Service / Update Software
- Enter the Windows Access Password
- Login as Field Service (PW 314)
- Copy ZoeApp.exe from USB stick to c:\Zoe Medical\App folder
- Copy the \DockLight folder to c:\Zoe Medical\Tools folder
- Copy the \SiliconLabs CP2120x v 6.3 folder to c:\Zoe Medical\Tools folder
- Navigate to the folder c:\Zoe Medical\Tools\SiliconLabs CP2120x v 6.3
- Right-click on the file slabvcp (the one that shows the Type as Setup Information)
- From the right-click menu, select Install, then select Yes (this will install the needed driver)
- Bring up Windows Settings
- Select Devices
- Select Printers and Scanners
- (Scroll down) and select Device Manager
- Expand the line for Ports (COM & LPT)
- Connect the Health o meter dongle
Note: It is probably best to connect the dongle to one of the DS20’s rear USB port and use a short intermediate cable to reduce the potential of the dongle getting broken off - Confirm that a line appears for the SiliconLabs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COMxx) where xx is the port number automatically assigned
- Right-click on the line for the SiliconLabs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COMxx) and select Properties
- Select the Port Settings tab
- Select Advanced.
- Set the COM Port Number to COM12, then select OK
- Select OK to close the Properties dialog box
Note: Sometimes the SiliconLabs software allocates more than one COM port to the SiliconLabs CP210x USB to UART Bridge. If this happens, use steps 20 – 24 above to set the second port to COM13 - Power cycle the DS20
- Confirm that the Setup / Configuration menu shows the MAIN version to be 10.0.738
- Start the Vital Signs application
- Power on the Health-o-Meter scale and take a measurement
- Confirm that the value shown on the DS20 matches the value shown on the scale
